FULL PLAYER VS TRAINING PLAYER
AND DEVELOPEMENT SQUADS

Explanation of player memberships:

  • FULL PLAYER (eg. “U12Black” or “U14Green”). This confirms their position as a FULL player who is expected to attend training and games each week. Full season fees apply ($795) for a 6 months domestic season. We kindly ask that your player takes their full player position with commitment and priority. Many children work hard to be selected into a BWB team and expect to play with team mates who demonstrate the same level of commitment and hard work.
With the exception of Rep Basketball or school commitments, we request they do not commit to other extracurricular sports that may interfere with their ability to train and play with their team. Late or missed attendance to trainings or games is disruptive to your player’s development and also affects their team’s performance during game day.
Please consider this carefully before accepting a Full player position with Bayside Warriors Basketball.

  • TRAINING PLAYER. When graded against other players, they were assessed to have fundamental skills, but may need further experience with competitive play. They are expected to attend training each week. They are not guaranteed weekly games but will be invited to fill in for games. This a great opportunity for players who are new to domestic competition, to ease into the pace and intensity of games. Committed training players develop quickly over the season and grow into skilled and confident players by the following season. They are very much part of the team and are encouraged to attend games to watch and support their team. Half season fees apply ($395) for 6 month domestic season

  • DEVELOPMENT SQUAD SESSIONS. These players were not successful in making a team, but encouraged to keep developing their skills with our coaches in smaller group sessions on a designated day. These squad sessions run for ONE TERM only  (Approx $350). These players will have the option to join another team and competition in coming terms.
