Tal Barzel

Tal joined Bayside Warriors in 2022 after arriving in Melbourne from her native Israel.

 

As a player Tal competed semi-professionally in the 2nd tier of Israel’s national league. Her coaching experience goes back to 2015 when she joined the Yavne Basketball Association in Israel as a junior coach. Over 5 years with Yavne she eventually became Head Basketball Coach, with responsibility for basketball operations incorporating 5 coaches and over 300 junior players.

 

An amazing role model for our young players, Tal brings unique life experience to her work with Bayside Warriors  - apart from hooping and coaching, she attained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Israeli Air Force and also found time to become a degree qualified Occupational Therapist.

 

Now based permanently in Melbourne, Tal operates the Playball Kids Sports franchise in Stonnington when she’s not coaching with the Warriors.
